Volunteer

Here is the heart of our Hero given in one simple statement. We are to serve and sacrifice for others. It is our legacy. It is our life. It is our Lord's example. We were bought and brought to freedom by the ransom price he paid. We are now called to follow his example and live his life in our world.

To follow is to serve, to be available is to serve, to believe and to trust is to serve, to accompany is to serve, to forgive and to be compassionate is to serve, and to celebrate the Eucharist is to serve . We also learn that to serve is always to share what we have been given. That is why serving always follows upon loving —because lovers share their gifts.

Our belief is that a healthy church is filled with passionate volunteers ready to serve in ministry  for Christ. While finding individuals to serve in ministry can sometimes be difficult. We believe in setting clear expectations and celebrating success can be a strong motivation factor. Being a volunteer can be one of the most fulling opportunities to serve in not just our local church but also in our community.
